Special Fundraising Evening To Benefit Aspiring Doylestown Filmmaker

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Frost Martini Lounge and Wine Bar will hold a special fundraising evening for Doylestown native and aspiring filmmaker Jack Benson on Wednesday, July 22, beginning at 5 p.m.

Funds raised at the event will support Benson's new movie, "Let This Be The Devil," and his efforts to bring it to market.

"Jack will be here, and everyone will get a chance to meet him in person and hear about his movie," said Frost owner Uri Abrams, who describes the fundraiser as a "Meet and Greet" fun night.

Throughout the evening, the Little Red Rooster Band will be performing a four hour set beginning at 5 p.m. "We'll also have folks from Bar Hill Distillery from New England doing a gin tasting. And there will be a lot of prizes and giveaways," said Abrams, noting that Frost will also be donating a portion of its proceeds that night to Jack.

In addition, a silent auction will offer the chance to win two Frost Lounge memberships, several rare wines, and estate service packages donated by the Doylestown law firm of Penglase & Benson, Inc.

Benson, a Central Bucks West graduate who worked part-time at Frost, is currently living in Los Angeles, where he's hoping to make his filmmaking dreams come true.

"He's a great, hard-working, very focused kid - very community and family oriented - and raised by great parents," said Abrams. "He's the type of kid who's always giving back and supporting others. That's precisely the reason why everyone has opted to help complement his efforts with this project."

Abrams described Benson as "very talented, very charismatic and very intelligent. We're looking forward to hearing from him about his movie and what his next steps are going to be."

Abrams added, "Given his talent and given his charisma, we're confident he will go far. We all know there are many thousands of stories out in Hollywood of failed dreams, but I've always said if anyone has a chance out there, it's Jack."

Abrams encourages the community to come out and meet Jack on Wednesday night. "Come out and meet him, support him, and at the very least give him your words of support. Get to meet him so when he gets further and higher in Hollywood you can say, 'I had drinks with him at Frost.'"
