Congressman Fitzpatrick Picks Up Broad Union Support In Race For PA-01

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has picked up broad support from organized labor in his bid for re-election in Pennsylvania's First Congrssional District.

The incumbent has earned the overwhelming recommendation of both the Bucks County Central Labor Council and the Montgomery County Central Labor Council, together with the endorsement, recommendation, or formal support of more than 40 labor organizations representing working men and women across Pennsylvania’s First Congressional District and throughout the nation.

“When American labor is strong, America is strong,” said Fitzpatrick. “For generations, the labor movement has helped turn the promise of America into security and opportunity for working families — a fair wage, a safe workplace, a voice on the job, a dignified retirement, and the chance to leave their children a better life. That promise must be respected, defended, and fought for, and it has guided my work since the day I entered Congress."

He continued, “The extraordinary men and women of labor have been partners at the table from the beginning, and working alongside them has been one of the great privileges of my public service. I am deeply honored by the confidence of this remarkable coalition and grateful for the opportunity to continue our partnership and friendship. Together, we will keep fighting — because we do not rebuild American industry by weakening workers. We rebuild it by investing in them.”
