Gas Station Burglarized, Van Stolen In Doylestown Borough

The Central Bucks Regional Police Department is investigating an overnight burglary at a borough gas station.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Shell gas station in Doylestown Borough was burglarized sometime overnight, the Central Bucks Regional Police Department is reporting.

Sometime between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 a.m. Thursday, police said a cement block was used to smash the front door to the building.

Police said they found the cash register open; however, no money had been inside the drawer.

Two sets of vehicle keys waiting for mechanical repairs were also taken from the building, including for a 2018 RAM 1500 stolen from the service lot, while the other keys were to a vehicle that did not start due to a dead battery.

Police said the van was subsequently found unoccupied by the Allentown Police Department.

"It is unclear how many offenders were involved; however, it is believed one arrived on a stolen bicycle," police said.
