NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — An active fugitive from justice arrest warrant has been issued for a 19-year-old New Britain Township man charged with possession of child sexual abuse material and criminal use of a communication device.
In June, law enforcement officers with the New Britain Township Police Department, one of which is a member of the Bucks County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force, served a search warrant at the home of Shahnoor Khurram Afridi that subsequently found Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on his devices.
The investigation stemmed from cybertips received from Yahoo, Snapchat, and Facebook, police said.
After Afridi was charged, he fled the United States to the United Arab Emirates, police said.
