DOYLESTOWN, PA — Wizarding Ways And More, which relocated to 22 Oakland Avenue from East State Street earlier this summer, will celebrate Harry Potter's 46th birthday on Friday with sweet treats, prizes and special raffles.

Throughout the day, door prizes and sweet treats will be available to customers while they last. Customers are also invited to test their luck by spinning a prize wheel and entering a raffle for gift certificates and exclusive prints from the House of Mina Lima.

The series chronicles the life of young wizard Harry Potter and his friends at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The books, published between 1997 and 2007, became a global phenomenon, selling over 500 million copies.

The newly renovated 1,500-square-foot Wizarding Ways store is triple the size of its former alleyway location, allowing it to carry an expanded inventory of Harry Potter-themed gifts and merchandise.

"There's more and more and even more," said owner Jason Coffman. "With the space we have now, we're enjoying the fact that we can bring in so much more."

In addition to all the Harry Potter books, a collection of cloaks and wizard hats and wands, the store has added new books, puzzles, stickers, banners, makeup, children's clothing, new t-shirts, Harry Potter-themed teas, and lots more to its offerings.

Some of the cooler new additions include a flying golden Snitch, which uses motion sensors to fly through the air and hover above your hand; hard-to-find Buffy the Vampire Slayer candles and mugs; and its Harry Potter glowing potion bottles.

One of the walls is devoted to Hogwarts and its four houses - Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house offers the same merchandise, including bags, hats, shirts, sweaters, candles, bookmarks, snow globes, pins and decals, all carrying the house name.

With the expanded space, the store has also added a new candy section with giant gummy spiders and unicorns, jelly slugs, mythical meats, and their popular chocolate frogs made by their Oakland Street neighbor, Raymer's.

Next to the candy section is a wall of Harry Potter- and Dungeons and Dragons-themed dog and cat toys, including leashes, bandanas, and accessories.

Hours at the new store are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. The store is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
