Dermatology Partners Expands With Doylestown Acquisition

DOYLESTOWN, PA – Dermatology Partners, a privately owned and physician-led dermatology group, has announced the acquisition of the Ferry Road practice of Elizabeth Spiers, MD.

The practice, located at 1456 Ferry Road, Suite 405 in Doylestown, will become Dermatology Partners Doylestown–Ferry Road, joining the organization's existing Doylestown location, now renamed Dermatology Partners Doylestown–Hyde Park.

Dr. Spiers, a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Board-Certified Dermatopathologist, has built a respected practice centered on compassionate, patient-focused dermatologic care. "I was particularly attracted to Dermatology Partners because we share the same values on high-quality care – I knew my patients and staff would be in great hands as we enter a new chapter," said Dr. Spiers.

Dr. Spiers completed her dermatology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she served as chief resident in dermatology. She completed her dermatopathology fellowship, also at the University of Alabama.

After her training, Dr. Spiers joined the faculty at the Department of Dermatology, University of Pennsylvania, where she was in charge of the residents' clinic. She still has a voluntary faculty position at the university, serving as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology, and maintains an active role in teaching. She opened her practice in Doylestown in 2002, where she's been ever since.

Patients will continue to receive comprehensive medical dermatology services while benefiting from Dermatology Partners' extensive network of board-certified dermatologists, advanced treatment options, and expanded resources.

Meanwhile, Aziz Khan, MD, will continue leading the original Doylestown office, now known as Dermatology Partners Doylestown–Hyde Park, located at 3900 Mechanicsville Road, Building 500, Suite 512.

Dr. Khan is widely respected for his expertise in medical and surgical dermatology, internal medicine, and public health.

This acquisition announcement follows several senior-level management hires as well as the addition of Dr. Saira Agarwala, who practices out of the Bensalem-Bristol Road location.
