Plumstead Township Lifts Boil Water Advisory For Northern System

The township issued a boil water advisory Thursday afternoon after an equipment failure in a well at the Country Greene Treatment Plant.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA— A boil water advisory first issued by the township on Thursday for its Northern Water System has been lifted effective Saturday afternoon, according to a robocall notice sent out by the township.

"All bacteriological samples taken at the affected well, located at the Country Greene system, have been collected, and we confirm the water is safe for use, and you no longer need to boil your water," the township said in its notification.

The township issued a boil water advisory Thursday afternoon after an equipment failure in a well at the Country Greene Treatment Plant resulted in a temporary loss of adequate disinfection.
