Harlequin Club Announces "Great Fall Cleanout Clothing Drive"

Later this month, club members will be collecting donated items to raise funds for its 2026-27 production schedule.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks West Harlequin Club will be holding a major clothing drive fundraiser this summer in support of its upcoming stage productions.

On August21 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., club members will be stationed at William Neis Park (next to Doyle Elementary) collecting used bikes and soft goods, like clothing, sheets, belts, shoes, etc. as part of its "Great Fall Cleanout Clothing Drive."

"The more pounds of goods people can donate, the more money we raise to help put on this year's
productions: out-of-this-world musical Little Shop of Horrors, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane play, and the smash hit musical Mamma Mia," said event organizers.

They will be collecting the following items:

Clothing & Shoes

Accessories

Household Items

Toys, Stuffed Animals & Bikes

Donated items will be collected and sent to those in need in developing countries. And if people can't make it, they can either help the club via Venmo or arrange a pick up of donations. See the flyer below for contact information.

Items That Won't Be Accepted

VCR tapes; CDs; books; box TVs/monitors; oversized playsets or outdoor playset; large household items like blankets, draperies, pillows, quilts, and comforters; workout/exercise equipment; appliances, furniture, lamps, home decor, board games, electronics, glassware, pots and pans and rugs; baby gear and accessories, and hard toys.

In addition, Consumer Product Safety Commission does not allow the resale of the following: car seats, cribs, hair dryers, mattresses, pack and plays, baby walkers, baby bath seats and toys with lead.
