25-Year-Old Man Electrocuted At Doylestown Train Station

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A 25-year-old man was killed Tuesday evening at the Doylestown Train Station after climbing onto the roof of a SEPTA train and touching a wire.

Just after 6 p.m., the Central Bucks Regional Police Department, the Doylestown Fire Company and Central Bucks EMS were called to the station at 130 South Clinton Street.

According to police, the man tried to get into a train car, but the doors were closed. He then proceeded to climb on top of the train where he touched a connecting wire and was electrocuted, police said.

The man was transported to Penn Medicine Doylestown Health by Central Bucks EMS where he was pronounced dead. Police said the victim suffered a heart attack as a result of the electric shock and succumbed to injuries.

The scene was cleared around 6:30 p.m.

The identity of the victim was not released by police pending an autopsy and the notification of relatives. Police did say the man was not from Doylestown.
