2. International Search For Bucks Co. Man Wanted In Girlfriend's Stabbing Death Ends In Arrest (patch.com) — Doylestown authorities say an international search has ended with the arrest of a Telford man in Honduras, accused in the stabbing death of his girlfriend in Bucks County. District Attorney Joe Khan announced that the suspect is being held pending extradition to face homicide and related charges, while emphasizing the case as a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence in the community.
3. Bucks County Classic bike race returns for 22nd year to Doylestown (centralbucksnews.com) — Doylestown's streets will again host the Bucks County Classic on Sept. 13, with pro and amateur races looping through the borough's downtown and tying into the Doylestown Arts Festival. Residents can ride the course, enter kids' races, volunteer, or simply watch top cyclists compete for free along Court and Main streets.
4. WATCH: Police seek wrong-way driver accused of nearly hitting pedestrian on Doylestown sidewalk (bucksindependence.com) — Police are asking Doylestown Borough residents to help identify a woman who allegedly drove the wrong way on Mechanics Street, jumped the sidewalk, and narrowly missed a pedestrian on Aug. 13. Surveillance video shows a newer gray SUV and a later confrontation, and Central Bucks Regional Police are seeking tips by phone or anonymous submission.
5. Longtime Bucks County Arts Organization Unveils New Name, Look And Vision (patch.com) — BucksArts, the rebranded Arts & Cultural Council, is rolling out several new programs in Doylestown, including a Small Works Exhibition at Penn Medicine Doylestown Hospital and literary salons at Freeman Hall. The group will also showcase its new name and member artwork at the upcoming Doylestown Arts Festival, aiming to connect more local artists with audiences across Bucks County.
