CHALFONT BOROUGH, PA — A 27-year-old woman has been charged with strangulation following a confrontation with a customer that turned physical in the parking lot of the Dunkin Donuts in Chalfont.
Police were called to the store at 191 East Butler Avenue on August 11 around 7:25 a.m. for an assault.
Savannah Renae Stevens of Philadelphia, a Dunkin Donuts employee, was arrested by the Central Bucks Regional Police Department and charged with strangulation, a first-degree felony, and harassment and simple assault, both summary offenses.
Police said that Stevens, from Philadelphia, began a verbal argument with a known customer, which ended in a physical altercation in the parking lot that involved strangulation, defined under Pennsylvania law as knowingly or intentionally impeding someone's breathing or blood circulation by applying pressure to the neck/throat or blocking the nose and mouth
Stevens was arraigned, and bail was set with conditions at $50,000 unsecured.
