Raising A Glass To History: Beer Fest Returns To Fonthill Castle This Weekend

The fun-filled afternoon welcomes beer enthusiasts over the age of 21 to the spacious outdoor grounds of the Doylestown castle.

DOYLESTOWN, PA – Fonthill Castle, operated by the Bucks County Historical Society (BCHS), will once again host its annual Fonthill Castle Beer Fest fundraising event on Saturday, August 22, from 2 to 5 p.m. in Doylestown.

The fun-filled afternoon welcomes beer enthusiasts over the age of 21 to the spacious outdoor grounds of Fonthill Castle, with plenty of room to mingle outside and enjoy the one-of-a-kind setting while sampling a variety of regional craft brews.

The annual fundraising event hosted by the Bucks County Historical Society supports an array of year-round education, community programs, and conservation efforts at Fonthill Castle, a National Historic Landmark.

The 2026 Fonthill Castle Beer Fest kicks off with a special VIP hour from 1 to 2 p.m., and general admission hours from 2 to 5 p.m. VIP guests enjoy a bespoke event experience, including one-hour early admission to the event and all-access to General Admission breweries, exclusive access to the historic Terrace Pavilion, a VIP-only lounge area with comfortable seating, air-conditioning and restrooms, exclusive curated beer options.

This year's Fonthill Castle Beer Fest features delicious light bites and great music. A commemorative beer-tasting glass for VIP and General Admission ticket holders serves as a
keepsake for those supporting Fonthill Castle's preservation and educational initiatives.

The 2026 breweries to date are Aristaeus Craft Brewing, Athletic Brewing Co., Boo's Brewing Co., Broad Street Brewing, Gamer Brewing Company, Prime Station Brewing, Revolution Bees, and Vault Brewing.

Tickets for this fundraising event are $175 per person for VIP, $500 for a VIP 4-pack of tickets, $75 for General Admission, $70 for BCHS Member General Admission, and $25 for Designated Drivers.

Fonthill Castle Beer Fest is made possible with the generous support of Byer's Choice LTD, Quire, Bucks Mont Party Rentals, Dontech, Foundations Financial Partners, B&B Beverages, Amy Knecht, and Thompson Networks, with special thanks to Pierre's Chocolates, Port A Bowl Restroom Co., and Simply Fresh by McCaffrey's.
