DOYLESTOWN - River Crossing YMCA is currently accepting enrollments for Empower U for girls and Stand Up for boys at the Doylestown branch at 2500 Lower State Rd. The free, six-week programs for teens age 12-15, are designed to strengthen self-esteem, positive relationships and self-reliance.
The programs include fitness, classes and topical discussions, along with a free two month teen membership to the Y during the program. Enrollment for these two donor-supported pathway programs for teens closes the week of Sept. 7 with programs beginning the week of Sept. 14. Enrolment is open to the community and participants do not need to be members of the Y.
Empower U and Stand Up are specifically designed to help teens achieve balance in their daily lives, as well as ward off the potential downsides of overexposure to social media, doom scrolling and bullying. River Crossing YMCA Pathway programs are made possible by the generosity of YMCA donors, and the instructors are certified YMCA trainers with special training in providing for the specific needs of each program and the individual participants.
