WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 27-year-old man was found partially naked and asleep inside his running car on Valley Square Boulevard earlier this summer. He's now wide awake and facing drug possession and receiving stolen property charges, said Warrington Township Police.
The incident occurred in early August at about 10:46 p.m., when an officer found a vehicle stopped on the boulevard with its hazard lights on, blocking a lane of travel.
When the officer approached the vehicle, the officer found 27-year-old Israel Fortun of Miami, Florida, asleep in the driver's seat. The vehicle was not running, and Fortun's pants were down past his knees, completely exposing his genitalia, police said.
The officer woke Fortun, who said that he had struck a curb, suffered a flat tire, and was waiting for a tow truck.
During the investigation, the officer observed a clear baggie containing a rock-like substance and two glass pipes with burnt residue inside the vehicle.
Police said the investigation also revealed that Fortun had $2,139.92 worth of merchandise inside the car reported stolen from Best Buy the day before.
Fortun was processed and released. He is charged with receiving stolen property, a third-degree felony, and misdemeanor drug offenses.
