DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A new bar and dining concept will make its debut at the historic Doylestown Inn on Saturday.
"The Still on State" is scheduled to hold its grand opening beginning at 3 p.m. at 18 South State Street, according to a Facebook announcement from The Hattery Stove & Still.
"The Still" is being described by inn owners as "a modern interpretation of the classic gathering place - where friends meet, stories are shared, and every detail is crafted with intention."
The new indoor/outdoor bar with heaters for cooler nights and seating for up to 60 people when weather permits will offer its own unique menu, atmosphere, and service model.
The drink program at "The Still" will highlight the Hattery's in-house-produced spirits along with an all-Pennsylvania lineup of local beer, wine, and spirits.
Food at "The Still" will be centered on scratch-made dishes, featuring Blackboard BBQ, NJ Shore-sourced Irish Fish & Chips, and wings with 10 mix-and-match sauces. The Still will also serve shareable items like crispy Brussels, chips and cheese, and terminal egg rolls.
The opening follows almost two years of planning, paperwork, permits, compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations, construction delays, and work involving its bank and vendors.
"There were plenty of moments when it felt like this day would never come," said Chef Bill. "But now… here we are. We are finally on the cusp of a brand-new chapter, and I honestly can't put into words what that means to me.
"Through all of it, one thing never changed...YOU, our loyal customers, friends, supporters, family, and everyone who believed in us and kept showing up. The Still is coming, and we hope to see each one of you there. Come visit us, raise a glass, share a meal, and help us celebrate everything we've been through to get here."
