BUCKS COUNTY, PA — In a historic action, the Bucks County District Attorney's office shut down a Bucks County smoke shop on Wednesday for selling kratom products to minors.
Meanwhile, a $1.3 million major dam removal project on the Neshaminy Creek is officially underway at Tyler State Park in Newtown and Northampton townships.

In a historic legal action, Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan on Wednesday obtained an emergency preliminary injunction shutting down sales of tobacco and kratom products to minors at Zaza Vape & Cigar, Inc. in Buckingham. The emergency court order was granted just hours after District Attorney Khan, joined by local leaders and law enforcement officers from the District Attorney's Office and Buckingham Township, held a news conference directly outside the smoke shop at 2539 Durham Road.

A major $1.3 million restoration project to remove a dam from the Neshaminy Creek in Bucks County is scheduled to begin this week. Work to remove the Spring Garden Dam at Tyler State Park in Newtown and Northampton townships is slated begin on Sept. 8 and last through the end of the month, with landscaping and site restoration continuing into October.

A 60-year-old man is facing serious charges after he struck a pedestrian with his car in Warrington and then failed to render aid and report the accident to police. The accident happened around 9 a.m. in the 600 block of Addison Way when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle backing out of a driveway at a high rate of speed, police said. When police and first responders arrived on the scene, they found the victim lying in the roadway screaming in pain. Police said the victim had obvious head trauma and was transported to Abington Hospital as a Level 1 Trauma.

A former special education teacher in the Bristol Borough School District who mistreated a 7-year-old student with autism has been found guilty of harassment. Stephanie Kleinfelder, 26, of Levittown, was found guilty for a December 2025 incident inside a classroom at Snyder-Girotti Elementary School.

SForget the chickens. In Buckingham, the question is: "Why did the reptile cross the road?" New solar-powered signs have been installed along Upper Mountain Road near the Buckingham Mountain Preserve, cautioning drivers to watch out for amphibians crossing the road. The new signage is programmed to flash on select evenings during the spring and fall amphibian migration seasons, when frogs, salamanders, and other wildlife are most likely to be crossing the roadway.
