BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Drivers in Central and Upper Bucks County may face delays and temporary road restrictions due to the following road and utility projects scheduled in New Britain Township and Doylestown Borough.
Here are the details:
Base repair work will close New Galena Road in New Britain Township from now through Sept. 25. Weather permitting, work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) and Callowhill Road. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Route 152 (Limekiln Pike/Hilltown Pike/Baringer Avenue), Hilltown Pike, and Callowhill Road. Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or along the detour route because backups and delays may occur.
PECO is installing a new gas main along sections of State and Main streets in Doylestown Borough. Drivers are advised that State and Main will be closed and detoured one section at a time through Friday, Dec. 4. Work is taking place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas or along the detour routes because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather-dependent.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will close Callowhill Road in Hilltown Township and Perkasie Borough, beginning on Monday, Sept. 14, and continuing through Sept. 25 for pavement repairs. Work is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Hilltown Pike, Upper Church Road, Blooming Glenn Road, and 5th Street. Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or along the detour route because backups and delays may occur.
