BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The second weekend in September is often called the biggest of the year in Bucks County. That's because two huge events will be taking place - the Doylestown Arts Festival and the Bucks County Classic.
The Arts Festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in downtown Doylestown. On Sunday, it will be joined by the Bucks County Classic, a professional cycling event that will wind its way around the arts festival. If you've never been to the simultaneous events, it's something to experience,
Other fun things to do this weekend include the Bucks County Food Truck Festival in Warminster, another weekend of the Polish-American Festival in New Britain and the return of the scarecrows at Peddler's Village.

The Doylestown Arts Festival returns to the streets of Doylestown Borough for its 35th anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 12, and Sunday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. With more than 170 juried artists scheduled to exhibit, along with 40 musical acts slated to perform, the volunteer-organized festival continues its mission to highlight independent creators, support small businesses, and raise awareness of the regional cultural scene.

The Bucks County Classic bike race, one of the biggest events in Bucks County and best professional races in the country, returns to Doylestown for the 22nd year on Sunday. All events for the day take place on a 1.4-mile closed-circuit course that passes through business and residential areas, providing numerous vantage points to view the action up close. Each event starts and finishes at the monument at Court and Main Street with sponsor and team tents lining the finish line stretch.

Hellerick's Adventure Farm in Plumstead kicks off its weekend fall festival on Friday, Sept. 11 with the opening of its America at 250-themed five-acre corn maze. Throughout the weekend festival, visitors are challenged to navigate through the maze's winding network of twists, turns, and dead ends. To get to the maze, visitors can enjoy a 15-minute, narrated wagon ride, offering another way to explore the farm while learning about its history.

The Polish-American Festival and Country Fair continues its 60th anniversary celebration with another weekend of ethnic fun, food, and entertainment on the grounds of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in New Britain Township. The festival is scheduled to run from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown 18901. The public is invited to celebrate traditional Polish culture with live entertainment, arts and crafts, re-enactments, ethnic foods, midway rides, and more.

Food, cars and music. Warminster Community Park will be the place to be on Saturday for the 6th annual Bucks County Fall Food Truck Festival featuring a car show and live music. The free festival runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park located at 350 East Bristol Road and includes a car show sponsored by the Panel Beaters Car Club.

The 47th annual Scarecrows in the Village display returns this week at Peddler's Village and continues through October 26, transforming the 42-acre destination with imaginative creations designed by area residents, organizations, and village shops.
