Police Looking To ID Suspects In Fishing Rod Theft In Warrington

Police are hoping someone can identify the two men involved in a retail theft this past spring at a township store.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Two suspects are being sought by police in connection with the theft of six fishing rods from the Walmart store at 299 Valley Gate Drive.

Officers responded to the store on June 2 at 9:35 p.m. after receiving a report of a retail theft that occurred the previous evening.

According to the police, two unknown males - possibly juveniles - entered the store and were observed at a self-checkout register scanning the barcodes for seven packages of plastic fishing worms. Each package was priced at $1.87, for a total of $13.09.

The two then left the store with seven fishing rods valued at approximately $610.77 without paying for the merchandise.

Police are looking to identify these two individuals in the theft of six fishing rods from the Walmart store.

One of the suspects was wearing a light gray, T-shirt, black pants and dark-colored shoes.

The second suspect was wearing a dark gray shirt, black pants, and light-colored shoes.

"We realize the photographs provided by Walmart are not good quality," police said. "Both individuals were observed passing all points of sale without rendering the proper payment for the fishing rods."

The Warrington Township Police Department is asking anyone who recognizes the individuals or has information regarding the incident to contact the Warrington Township Police Department.
