WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Eureka Stone Quarry, Inc. will be conducting blasting activities at its Warrington site on Easton Road on Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
As mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, all blasting activities will be monitored and conducted according to all state and federal laws.
Before the detonation, depending on proximity to Warrington, people may hear the following:
1. At least one minute but no more than two minutes before the detonation, an air horn will sound three bursts, each lasting 5 to 10 seconds.
2. Following an inspection of the blast area, a single 10-second air horn signal will be sounded.
Adverse weather conditions, equipment breakdowns, personnel illnesses, and other unforeseen issues may make it necessary to conduct unscheduled blasting operations.
