WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The New Britain Food Pantry continues to settle into its new home at 3400 Pickertown Road in Warrington, about three miles from its former location in New Britain Township. The pantry is open and is still serving the same communities.

Despite its name, the pantry is not limited to New Britain residents. It serves neighbors facing food insecurity anywhere in the Central Bucks or New Hope-Solebury School Districts. That includes Doylestown Borough and Doylestown Township; Chalfont Borough; New Britain Borough and New Britain Township; Buckingham, including Lahaska and Furlong; Plumstead, including Fountainville and much of Pipersville; Warrington Township; Warwick, which includes Jamison; and New Hope Borough and Solebury Township.

"Since our move, we've heard from neighbors who thought we had closed, or who assumed they had to live in New Britain to get help," said Cindy Field, Executive Director of New Britain Food Pantry. "We're here, our doors are open, and if you live in Central Bucks or New Hope-Solebury, we want to see you."

The pantry is open Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon and Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., and families may visit up to twice a month. First-time guests should park in the main lot, follow the signs to the side entrance, and fill out a short form. The only document needed is proof of address in either school district.

Each visit provides seven to 10 days of groceries chosen by the guest, including frozen beef, pork, or chicken; eggs, butter and cheese; fresh produce; pantry staples; and paper products. Personal care items are offered every other month and laundry detergent every three months, when available. Guests are asked to bring their own grocery bags.

Guests can preview the check-in form and shopping list at newbritainfoodpantry.org/get-food.

The community can help with financial donations, which can be made at newbritainfoodpantry.org/ways-to-help. Non-perishable food can be dropped off 24/7 in the shed at the new location, and fresh produce during pantry hours. Local businesses with surplus bread, baked goods or fresh food can email info@newbritainfoodpantry.org or text 215-527-9377.

The pantry is a volunteer-run nonprofit serving neighbors facing food insecurity in the Central Bucks and New Hope-Solebury School Districts since 1991. Its food comes from government programs, community partners, rescued food and individual donors. In 2025, the pantry served over 300 families in need.
