BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Road and utility construction projects will impact drivers this week in Doylestown Borough, New Britain Township and in Hilltown Township and Dublin Borough.
Here are the details:
The New Britain Township Public Works Department will be closing Creek Road between Old Iron Hill Road and Cheesfactory Road for storm pipe replacement. The closure will take place on Monday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. No vehicular traffic will be able to get through during that time, township officials said. "Please plan an alternate route and allow extra time for your travels," police in New Britain Township said.
For about three weeks, Main Street will be closed overnight between State and Court Streets for a gas line installation project. Court Street, Shewell Avenue, and State Street will remain open, but drivers should expect delays. The road is scheduled for closure from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday to Thursday nights. Drivers are asked to plan accordingly and allow extra time when traveling through the area during overnight construction.
From now through Oct. 23, Dublin Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Hilltown Pike and Route 313 in Hilltown Township and Dublin Borough. The road will be closed and detoured for base repair work from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drivers will be directed to use Blooming Glen Road, Minsi Trail, Route 113 (Souderton Road), and Route 313 (Dublin Pike/Main Street). Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work area or along the detour route because backups and delays may occur.
