Anxiety in Children With Autism Topic of March Workshop
Foundations Community Partnership is hosting the workshop on March 4 at the Doylestown Health & Wellness Center.

A workshop exploring anxiety in children with autism is planned next month in Doylestown.
Foundations Community Partnership will host “Assessment and Treatment of Anxiety Disorders in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder” on Wednesday, March 4 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The workshop will be held at the Doylestown Health & Wellness Center Auditorium, 847 Easton Rd, Warrington. The cost to attend is $60 and includes refreshments.

The speaker will be Connor Morrow Kerns, Ph.D., an assistant research professor at the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute. Kerns will give a presentation on how to adapt cognitive behavioral approaches to treat anxiety disorders in children with autism spectrum disorder.
“This presentation will consider how to assess traditional and atypical presentations of anxiety in ASD and modify cognitive-behavioral approaches to treat these symptoms in higher-functioning children with ASD,” according to information from Foundations Community Partnership.
