A 3-year-old boy who enjoyed collecting bugs and learning about dinosaurs has died this week after falling into a pool in Warrington.

A 3-year-old Bucks County boy who enjoyed collecting bugs and learning about dinosaurs has died this week after falling into a pool in Warrington.

Jackson S. Cole passed away on Saturday, June 4 at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, his obituary says. He died a week after he was found in a neighbor's pool. He was initially rushed to Doylestown Hospital, the Intelligencer reports, but was later transported to CHOP.

He was the son of Jeremy and Andrea and the brother of MaKenna M. Cole, his obituary says. His father, a Warminster Township Police officer, told The Intelligencer the incident was a tragic accident and that his son was playing outside with kids in the neighborhood when he went over to the pool and jumped in.

A GoFundMe page has been started to support the family. So far $18,750 has been raised.

According to his obituary, Jackson will be remembered for laughing, loving and being quick with a big hug.

"Jackson enjoyed collecting bugs, finding worms, exploring and learning about dinosaurs and sharks. He liked super heroes, Ninja Turtles and especially liked helping Mommy in the garden and playing with his big sister," reads the obituary.

In addition to his parents and sister, Jackson is survived by his grandparents Brian and Betty Cole and Ted and Carol Konopinski and his great grandmother Theresa Volski. He was the nephew of Wendy Tierney, Rachel and Todd Cole, Cindy Smith, and Karen French. He is also survived by many cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 10 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington. The family will receive friends from 5:-8 p.m. on Thursday and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Jackson to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Checks made out to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation can be mailed to CHOP Foundation, P.O. Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352. Please write "in memory of Jackson" on the memo line of the check.
