Clashes in Morrisville PA over the Second Amendment

 Saturday a  group of pro-Second Amendment citizens gathered at the end of the Trenton Makes Bridge to peacefully demonstrate their right to bear arms. This gathering was in direct response to an Anti_gun rally particularly funded by the Bloomberg group Mayors Against Illegal Guns.  The Ant-gun folks planned on marching across the Trenton makes bridge to a park in Morrisville.  This caused much controversy because the local little league games all had to be canceled.  THe Pro-second Amendment Groups offered to cancel their rally if the Pro-Gun Folks would do the same. The anti-gun groups would not cancel their rally.

 The gathering of Pro-Gun folks was very large. Several speakers spoke about why the founders of our Country were insistent on making sure the 2nd amendment part of our Constitution.  Some people strapped on Semi-automatic guns on their backs.  One Fella said he walked about 10 minutes down the main drag with his AK47 strapped to his back to get the rally.  He said he got a few strange looks but it is his right to do so.  

The Pro and Anti gun people all ended up at the park.  The speakers from the Anti-gun group spoke on gun safty and illegal guns.  One speaker asked the crowd, would you want citizens to have nuclear weapons?  Would you want people to have grenades?  At which point the Pro-gun folks started chanting, be realistic, be realistic.  

One Anti-gun person,  had a camera and would walk up really close to Pro-gun people and take there picture.  She came about 2 inches from my face. It felt like an invasion of my personal space.

Unfortunately a picture can say a thousand words.  Andy Rumbold a Pro-gun attendee was filmed pointing his finger in a woman's face. Here is Andy's account of the incident. 

I was directly in front of the stage holding my sign, this woman sneaks up on my left side and starts heckling me and I basically ignored her.  She then proceeded to get right in my personal space and purposely cough  right in my face expelling some bodily fluid onto my chest.  I reacted the way any peaceful person would and the photographer got the shot they were setting up.

We can all agree that this country is great because we have Freedom, but in the debate on the gun issue, trading Freedom for security with new gun laws will result in less Freedom and less security.
