Doylestown Country Club Donates $18K To Local Cancer Institute
The money was raised during a charity event in May and benefited Doylestown Health's Cancer Institute.

The Doylestown Country Club, through its annual Women’s Charity Day fundraising event, recently donated over $18,000 to Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute. The funds were used to help establish a new exam room for the Cancer Institute’s Survivorship Care Program, according to information from the hospital.
The Charity Day event in May included a women’s golf tournament and bridge tournament, which also featured a silent auction and raffle.
"The Country Club made a multi-year, $25,000 pledge to help launch the survivorship program, and establish the special exam room for cancer survivors to discuss their care plan with Cancer Institute professionals. Survivorship care plans include treatment summaries, post-treatment recommendations, follow-up care referrals, and information about community resources," an announcement from the hospital said.

Hospital officials thanked the local country club.
“Already our patients and clinical staff are benefitting from our new exam room,” said Doylestown Health’s Director of Cancer Services Cathy Benner. “It gives us additional private space that is so necessary in the care and environment that we provide for our patients. Everyone appreciates what the participants in the Woman’s Charity Day event have done to make this space possible.”
