The May 2014 Real Estate Market Statistics (provided by TrendMLS) are now officially posted for all our local counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia. Year to date for Bucks County, settled single family homes were down 3.64% from last year. The average sales price in Bucks County came in at $324,000 up 1.89% from the previous year. Looking at our surrounding counties, Chester County was down 8.98% in settled single family homes with an average sales price of $351,000, Delaware County was down 8.68% at $249,000, Montgomery County was down 8.84% at $309,000, and lastly Philadelphia County was down 10.62% at $180,000.
Narrowing in to the local Doylestown Borough, 13 single family homes settled in May 2014. Out of these 13, 8 were 4 or more bedrooms, 4 were 3 bedrooms, and 1 was a 2 bedroom home. The average sales price of these homes was $548,220, selling at 96% of their original list price. 12 of these 13 single family homes sold within their first 30 days on the market! Looking at the Doylestown Township, 20 single family homes sold in May 2014. Out of these 20, 14 were 4 or more bedroom homes while 6 were 3 bedroom homes.
