Doylestown Scenic Strolls Continue Wednesday

Lace up your walking shoes, Doylestown.

The weekly scenic stroll series continues this Wednesday, March 29 with a walk around Maplewood. Meet at Veterans Memorial Park, S. Chubb Drive, at 9 a.m.

The walking series, organized by the borough Park and Recreation Board, is a chance for you to walk with your neighbors and check out some local scenery. Walks are not held on rainy days, but Wednesday's forecast looks promising with sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 50s predicted.

Here is the remaining schedule for the walking series:

• March 29: Maplewood, meet at Veterans Memorial Park, S. Chubb Drive
• April 5: Fonthill Woods, meet at Moravian Tile Works parking lot
• April 12: Town Walk East, meet at Doylestown Cemetery center gate
• April 19: Senior Center, meet at Shady Retreat Road parking lot
• April 26: Doyle/Lenape/Hospital, meet at Neis Park parking lot, N. West St.
• May 3: Downtown Stroll, meet at the James Lorah House, Main & Broad
• May 10: Bucks Co. Free Library, meet at 150 S. Pine St parking lot
• May 17: Town Walk East, meet at the Doylestown Cemetery center gate
• May 24: Maplewood, meet at the Veterans Memorial Park, S. Chubb Drive Fonthill Woods walk follows dirt and gravel paths that are uneven in places, therefore depending on conditions, walkers may not go through the wooded areas, but around the grounds and neighborhood.
