Help - I Have No Time for Anything!

Have you ever wondered why the hell we are so busy these days?

Have you ever wondered why the hell we are so busy these days? In a world where most things are supposed to be “convenient” and “10 minute meals” we seem to have lost time.

Am I the only one that feels that way? I think not.

I’m pretty sure I touched on this subject at some point before, but this time I want to dive into “time” in deeper details… And it’s allusive disappearance.

You know the ole saying “time flies when you’re having fun”. I think in this millennium it’s more like “where did my 24 hours go?”

This week I have another assignment for you: ( I know…like you have time for that right? ) but by doing so, you may just shock yourself.

This is a great activity for “working” parents, “work at home” parents and business owners.  Really being aware of where we spend our time is the first step in empowering ourselves to make a focused change.

The goal here isn’t to squeeze more into the gaps, but actually try to find time for “down time”.

If you’re anything like me, you crave “quiet” time. Time to just sit and drool over a bowl of ice cream with 500+ channels of absolute nothingness to sit in front of,  or maybe you’re the type that would prefer to go for a walk down the towpath without the pressure of “hurrying” back?

This week make a list of everything you do and how much time you spend doing it… I mean EVERYTHING! ( let’s keep it clean here people! ) but heck… No one else is going to read this report but you, so have at it!

Things to consider are:

  • Time spent shopping
  • Time spent driving
  • Time waiting in lines (avoid this by revisiting our blog on running errands like a pro)
  • Time spent on Facebook
  • Time spent doing computer research (don’t forget the time you spend once you fall into the hole known as the WWW)
  • Time watching too much TV
  • Time spent clipping coupons (I add this because I am a recovering coupon clipper)
  • Time spent preparing meals
  • Time spent cleaning up from meals

Now that you’re armed with your list… Make it a goal to delegate 1 task and minimizing time spent on another.

How could you save some time not shopping right after work? Or prep your meals on one day so you’re not cleaning up the “prep” mess more than one night a week?

If now is the time for you to start “letting go” and reclaiming your personal time… We should talk! Our team is ready to serve you in a kind, efficient cost effective manner so that you can live life the way you choose to do so…
