Learn how to plan now for your future health care

Free program this Wednesday evening explains what you need to know and to do to safeguard your choices.

What is an advance directive? What is a healthcare power of attorney? What is advance care planning? Why do I need to know about this?

These are all ways that you can make certain your wishes for health care are followed – by your family, by your medical team – should you be unable for any reason to speak for yourself.

Come listen to professionals in the field of advance care planning at 7:00 tomorrow evening, Wednesday, April 22, in the Teen Center of the Central Bucks Family YMCA, 2500 Lower State Road, Doylestown, PA 18901.

Coyne, MD, medical director and co-founder of Looking Ahead; and Steve Day, Esq., Doylestown Hospital’s director of risk.

Ms. Payn will explain how the advance care planning process works and what participants can expect to gain. Dr. Coyne will talk about how health care has changed in the past 50 years and why it is more important than ever to have an advance care plan. And Mr. Day will discuss the details of living wills and healthcare powers of attorney.
