National Library Week

I couldn't let National Library Week go by without posting this. Though I have to say, when I picture my friends from books, I never see them imprisoned in paper and leathern boxes.

I see my old childhood friend, Heidi, in a mountain meadow with Peter, picking flowers and looking after the goats.

I see the Joad family heading west in their old truck - still full of hope, before their dreams are crushed.

I see Tom Sawyer, watching his friends paint the fence while he counts his loot.

I see ... enough from me. I'm sure everyone has their vision.
