
Just this year I put myself out there for a new opportunity. Raw vulnerability. Full in. It didn’t work out and it felt awful, but at least I put myself out there. So much better than not trying at all. I have learned from it and can wear my bravery badge proudly.
Seth Godin’s blog post today is about declaring what you want to the world. How it increases the chances of reaching that goal but also sets you up for potential disappointment. Most people don’t take the chance. You’ll never know until you try.

- the chance that you will be disappointed
For many people, apparently, it’s better to not get what you want than it is to be disappointed. The resistance is powerful indeed.
