A special event is planned next week to honor the life and birthday of a beloved Doylestown boy who died of brain cancer in 2016. The Dominic's Toy Chest event will be held Tuesday, May 1 in honor of Dominic Liples. He was 8 years old when he died less than a year after a Glioblastoma diagnosis.
All are invited to celebrate Dominic's birthday by enjoying some treats and donating a toy to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia oncology unit. The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Philly Pretzel Factory and Sweet Pea Ice Cream, 18 W. State Street.
To celebrate Dominic, Sweet Pea has concocted two new ice cream flavors. There will be Domi's Marshmallow Minion ice cream made with vanilla ice cream, vanilla cake pieces, rainbow sprinkles and marshmallow swirl. Plus, his little brother, Ciarlo, has created a flavor. It's called Ciarlo’s Full House of Chocolate.
