Y RUN 5K, RUN FOR A CAUSE, MARCH 29

The Y RUN 5K and 1-mile fun run marks its 20th year on March 29 as an outstanding event supporting the community. The evening race includes a traditional 5k in Doylestown and 1-mile fun run with a family-oriented pasta dinner and child care available.

The event is the kick-off for Central Bucks Family YMCA’s annual campaign and is an important fundraiser that allows the Y to provide vital programs and financial aid to those in our community who need help. The Y is pleased to partner once again with title sponsor First Savings Bank, Doylestown. First Savings Bank is a local business rooted in community service who believes in Y mission and what they provide the community.

Funds raised at the 5k and fun run will support programs like the Y’s THRIVE cancer wellness program and 7th grade initiative, provided at no cost to participants. New this year is an online fundraising option using First Giving website to allow runners and volunteers to create and share their own fundraising page and garner support from friends and family.
