Advertising and the Art of War: Part 9

In the Art of War, Sun Tzu said “Of the five phases, none is the lasting victor. Of the four seasons, none has constant rank.” This quote is about change. Something might work really well for you at one point, but it won’t always work that well in the future. The same goes for advertising and marketing. Your current efforts might be working well for you now, but you have to keep your ideas fresh in order for them to remain successful.

Seasons change, and so does the way people view the world. If you are advertising for the holiday season, promoting your products as the perfect last minute gift – you will need to change your campaign as the year goes on. As the seasons change and we move through the year, people value different things. Here at Cliff Ross, advertising is our specialty. We work with our clients to develop the perfect advertising campaign for their business through a wide-variety of channels.

Not only does the content of your advertising and marketing strategies need to change, but the method of executing it must evolve as well. For example, print advertisements might have worked well for you in the past, but many people are starting to go digital. Online advertisements, social media marketing, blogging, etc., should be incorporated into your strategy. We love being able to help our clients develop a well-rounded approach to their advertising and marketing – it makes our job enjoyable and our clients successful. Call us today if you are ready for a change, and want to re-vamp your advertising and marketing efforts.
