Today's riddle: What is full of holes but still holds water? 🤔 (Answer below!)
1. Megan's Museum Minute: Week of 8/19/26 (wdiy.org) — History lovers in Easton can now tour the reopened 1753 Bachmann Publick House on Northampton Street, featuring an immersive exhibition on Easton's Revolutionary-era role. The column also highlights regional cultural outings, from Wildlands Conservancy volunteer days to Emmaus concerts and a major Philadelphia exhibition, giving Easton residents plenty of ideas for day trips in this 250th anniversary year.
2. Easton's free Saturday trolley extended through farmers market season, shifts an hour earlier (lehighdaily.com) — Easton's free All Aboard Easton trolley will keep running every Saturday through the farmers market season, now starting at 9 a.m. instead of 10. The fixed-route service links West Ward, South Side, and other neighborhoods to downtown and Scott Park, offers wheelchair-accessible rides, and includes wristband discounts at several Easton businesses while organizers seek sponsors to sustain it.
3. Man wanted on assault charges in Easton (newportdispatch.com) — Easton police are asking for the public's help locating a 24-year-old man wanted on multiple assault-related charges, including strangulation and aggravated assault. Authorities describe his appearance, vehicle, and last known location in the city, and urge residents not to approach him but to contact Easton police or county dispatch with any information.
4. Notre Dame-Green Pond football preview 2026: Offense could have different look with new QB (lehighvalleylive.com) — Notre Dame-Green Pond's football team will again play early "home" games at Lafayette College and will visit Easton's Cottingham Stadium on Oct. 31 to face Wilson. With junior Tommy Murphy taking over at quarterback, the Crusaders lean on returning playmakers and speed while adjusting to roster turnover and aiming to build on last year's 12-1 season.
