• Accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue: What Northampton County restaurant inspectors found (lehighvalleylive.com) — Northampton County's latest restaurant inspections include Terra Cafe on Northampton Street in Easton, where turkey was found thawing improperly but overall compliance remained intact. Several nearby spots in Bethlehem Township, Palmer Township, Forks Township, and other communities logged mostly minor issues, with no establishments deemed out of compliance during the August 18–26 inspection window.
• From Beatles drummer to country superstar, here are the top acts playing in the Lehigh Valley this month (mcall.com) — Big-name shows are headed to Easton this month, with Ringo Starr and Martina McBride both scheduled at the State Theatre on Northampton Street. The roundup also highlights other September concerts across the Lehigh Valley, from Bethlehem to Allentown and Stroudsburg, giving you plenty of options for live music as fall kicks in.
• Man Charged in Freemansburg Shooting (sauconsource.com) — A Montgomery County man is jailed at Northampton County Prison in Easton on attempted homicide and related charges after a shooting at a Freemansburg business Friday afternoon. Prosecutors say surveillance footage tied him to a vehicle at the scene, and the victim is recovering from a gunshot wound. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 11 in Lower Saucon Township.
