The latest addition to the popular "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" series will keep toddlers laughing - and moving and learning.

Fans of "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" won’t be disappointed by this new addition to the popular series.  This time our busy toddler is disguised as a dog with an appealing round belly and expressive ears. 

Eating a donut leads to lots of active outdoor play, including picking apples, playing baseball, doing a happy dance, and flying a kite.  Of course, the story comes full circle and ends with a demand for a donut.

Some reviewers have rolled their eyes at yet ANOTHER book following the same simple pattern, but I suspect that they haven’t spent time with young children recently.  It is exactly this predictability that makes these books so valuable. 

Pile up a stack of them at the and watch your youngster pick up on the idea that stories have plots to follow.  Sending children to school with a sense of story is even more important than learning the alphabet for reading success.
