Check It Out - Llama Llama Home With Mama

Any mama (or papa) who has spent time at home with a sick child will enjoy reading this gently humorous story aloud.

LLAMA LLAMA HOME WITH MAMA (written and illustrated by Anna Dewdney)

By this time of year, nearly every mama of a human child has spent a day at home with a sick child – and ended up sick herself. So it is, too, for mama llamas. This gentle story captures both the misery of feeling feverish and the warmth of being with someone who cares how you feel. It also supplies a few hints on how a child who is feeling better might help out a mom who isn’t.

Despite the sniffly subject matter, the illustrations are bright and cheerful, and every parent will recognize those droopy eyes, even when they’re on a llama.
