TOO MANY DINOSAURS (written and illustrated by Mercer Mayer)

A mom gets her comeuppance when she tells a boy that he may not have a puppy.  Disconsolate, he wanders off to the yard sale of an aging Woodstock hippie neighbor and purchases a dinosaur egg.  The rest of the story is a predictable romp through dinosaur disaster.

Mercer Mayer, who is well-known for his Little Critter series, knows just what kids, especially boys, like:  chaos, love, and getting what you want in the end.  Anti-puppy moms, beware. 

Those who already have a dog or fear neither dinosaurs nor begging children can pick it up at the for ages four through seven.
