New to Parenting? Sign Up for Family Place Workshop

Bringing parents and child care professionals together in a casual environment

Remember when libraries were quiet places where you’d rarely see a baby? Today’s librarians believe that literacy begins at birth and that libraries can help build strong communities by nourishing healthy families. To that end, the Easton Area Public Library joined the Family Place Libraries network in 2009.

One of the core components of the Family Place Library is the Parent/Child Workshop. This five-week program for toddlers and their parents/caregivers features local professionals who can answer parents’ questions in a casual, fun environment.

Registrations are now being taken for our next Parent/Child Workshop beginning on Wednesday, March 20. Each week parents will have the opportunity to speak informally with a different community resource expert. The workshop also includes hands on activities for both parents and children using special collections of books, toys, and multimedia for babies and toddlers.
