Deadline for FEMA Aid Fast Approaching
Municipalities and non-profits have only days to request disaster relief funding from Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.

Northampton County's Division of Emergency Management Services says municipalities and non-profit organizations have only a few days left to apply for disaster relief from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
According to the county, FEMA will reimburse municipal governments and select non-profits for costs associated with responding to and recovering from any sort of .
Those costs could include "debris removal, repairs to public infrastructure, and emergency protective measures," the county said.Â

If your organization sustained damage during Tropical Storm Lee, you have until Jan. 8 to send in a Request for Public Assistance.Â
For Hurricane Irene damage, the deadline is even tighter: Dec. 31.Â
