Easton Man Charged With DUI

An Easton man was charged with driving under the influence Sunday following a crash on North Third Street.

said Christopher Prough, 30, of 114 N. Third St., Apt. 2, was headed west on College Avenue around 2:46 a.m. when he lost control of his car on the curve where College Avenue turns into North Third.

Police say Prough, who was speeding, drove onto the curb, ran over some bushes and hit a pedestrian crossing sign. 

Prough allegedly failed a breath test at the scene, and was taken to the Northampton County DUI center. Police say he will be charged with DUI, speeding, and careless driving.
