Police: Easton Man Kicks Cops, Threatens Ex
Duane Scott, 44, charged with terroristic threats and assault.

An Easton man threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend late Tuesday, broke the door and a window of her West Ward residence, then exhibited "tumultuous" behavior that included kicking and trying to run away as they arrested him, according to court records.
Patrolman Jose Colon said the suspect, Duane Vincent Scott, "jumped from the sofa toward me and tried to reach my jacket" after Colon arrived and saw the ex-girlfriend's brother trying to restrain Scott.
Scott, 44, later kicked two other officers trying to take him into custody, the records say.
The ex-girlfriend told police Scott threatened to kill her before police arrived, the records say.
Scott caused more that $500 in damage to the residence at 1141 Washington St., Apt/Suite A when he allegedly broke the door and window.
Scott, whose address is listed as the same as his ex-girlfriend's, was arraigned early Wednesday by on-duty District Judge Jackie Taschner of Palmer Township on charges of criminal mischief, resisting arrest, simple assault - attempt, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
He was taken to after failing to post 10 percent of $20,000 bail.
According to the Morning Call, Scott has crossed paths with police before. In the 1980s, he successfully sued the city in an excessive force complaint against police officers, whom Scott claimed beat him and members of his family because they were black.
