Easton Pedestrian Hit by Car in Wilson
Wilson police san an Easton man was hit while walking at the intersection of Ferry and Northampton streets Thursday.

An Easton man was hospitalized Thursday after being hit by a car in Wilson, according to published reports.
The Express-Times reports Ismel Acevedo, 33, of South Second street was struck at the intersection of Ferry and Northampton streets.
Police said the vehicle that hit Acevedo was driven by 49-year-old Craig Strickland of Allentown, who was heading east on Northampton Street to turn onto Ferry.

Wilson police told the newspaper they do not believe alcohol played a role in the accident.
This was the second pedestrian accident in Wilson in the last few weeks. The first one was much more serious. On December 11, , 22, of Easton's South Side, died after being hit by an SUV on the 1600 block of Northampton Street.

Kelly Marazas, a Wilson resident, has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, driving while under the influence, and other offenses in connection with the crash.
