Easton Police Investigating Downtown Brawl

A large altercation Monday morning in downtown Easton had people fighting in the streets, and left at least one property damaged.

are investigating a large fight that happened early Monday outside a Downtown bar.

The brawl happened just after 2 a.m. outside Mother's* in Centre Square. A resident who lives on Northampton Street e-mailed Patch about the fight Monday morning.

"Thirty to forty people spilled out into the streets viscously fighting each other to the point that someone got thrown through the front window at Connexions," he wrote, referring to the art gallery.

Lt. Matthew Gerould described it as "a large fight that officers just came upon," with the brawlers easily outnumbering the officers on the scene. Several people involved ran away, Gerould said.

He expects two or three people will be charged with disorderly conduct.
