Easton Police Raid Finds $19,000 in Heroin

Police charge two Easton men with selling heroin following Friday drug raid.

Two Easton men were arrested Friday morning during a drug raid that turned up $19,000 worth of heroin.

According to , Altaron Robinson, 36, and Kalief Rudolph, 23, are part of a "large scale heroin distribution ring" centered around the city's South Side.

Police noted that both men are suspected gang members, Robinson with the Crips, Rudolph with the Bloods. The two gangs, historically, haven't been known to work together.

At 6 a.m. Friday, Easton police, working with the Pennsylvania State Police, raided their homes, seizing $14,000 worth of heroin from Robinson's home at the 200 block of Palmer Street, and another $5,000 worth of the drug from Rudolph's home on the 100 block of West Wilkes-Barre Street.

They are both charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, and possession of a controlled substance.

Robinson is also facing two charges from an earlier investigation: delivery of a controlled substance, and criminal use of a communication facility. According to police, he sold heroin to a confidential source on May 24.

Rudolph and Robinson were arraigned late Friday morning before District Judge . They had little to say during their hearing, sitting handcuffed and hunched over. 

Corpora set bail at $70,000 for Robinson -- $35,000 for each case -- and at $35,000 for Rudolph.
