Chair Yoga is a great way to stretch, relax and strengthen using a chair as a prop and as a way to make certain poses easier and more attainable for people who may not have the flexibility or strength for an on the floor yoga class. Those people may be of any age, size, sex etc. Good for preparing for a more difficult class or as a way to promote health on a regular basis.
We do breath work, stretching for hips, back, legs, shoulders and neck and core, leg and arm strengthening followed by a guided relaxation and meditation at the end.
Classes are just $5 for an hour. The only prerequisite is to call or email the instructor to let her know that you are coming. After a March break, classes will resume on March 24th. Follow the yellow signs to the old Municipal building. Bring a yoga mat or blanket or towel.
