Peter Lentine, a 14-year-old student at The Swain School in Allentown, will ROCK THE“A”,the namesake of a music concert he is coordinating as his eighth grade community service project.
His efforts will benefit Third Street Alliance for Women and Children, a nonprofit agency in downtown Easton that provides shelter for homeless woman and their families.
With the cooperation of School of Rock in Easton and its Bank Street Band, Peter created the event to raise money for a very important cause.
Paula Ream, Director of Development at Third Street Alliance, says Peter is an inspiration and a wonderful example for all youth. “He truly wants to make a difference, and he’s learning so much in this process of pulling together resources and getting the community involved in his project. Peter is doing all the planning, he developed the collateral materials, and even got his parents excited about a rock concert!”
Opportunities are available to sponsor ROCK THE “A”. The concert will be held in the gymnasium at Third Street Alliance, 41 North Third Street in Easton, on Saturday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door ($8 for seniors and students with ID.) For more information, contact the Lentine family at 610-253-5012, or Third Street Alliance at 610-258-6721.
