Female Officer Joining Easton Police

Cops & Community programs tackles diversity within Easton police, other issues.

The National Coaliation Building Institute hosted a program Monday night to allow residents of Easotn to get to know their police department a little bit better. 

The news that came out of the evening? Easton's all-male police force won't be all-male much longer.

According to the Express-Times, Det. Matthew Rush told the audience that a new female officer will begin training for patrol duty in July.

The program drew about 15 residents to the . Guillermo Lopez of the NCBI told the newspaper the evening was about getting residents to see the people behind the badges.
